Explore Current Oncology
Founded on innovation and ingenuity over 20 years ago, Current Oncology was the first oncology journal in Canada. It was built to meet a demand in the Canadian oncology community and has matured into a highly esteemed, internationally distributed, independent publication.
We are pleased to announce that Current Oncology has been accepted for indexing in the National Library of Medicine’s MEDLINE® database beginning with Volume 25, Number 1 (2018).
This marks a significant achievement for both the journal and Canadian cancer research community. A MEDLINE listing will increase the journal’s visibility, bringing our articles to the attention of many more researchers, educators, practitioners and students throughout the world. In turn, this will result in more citations for the articles we publish, along with more submissions to the journal and a higher impact factor. It also solidifies Current Oncology as a highly respected scientific journal, and reaffirms our important role in educating oncology professionals, both within Canada and on an international level.
This development is a reflection and acknowledgement of the hard work and commitment to the journal from the Editorial team, journal authors and reviewers, and publishing staff. Thank you for making this success possible.
Established in 1994, we’ve helped shape the Canadian oncology publishing community for over two decades.
