Knowledge Translation Clinical Trials

Posted by Margaret on June 2, 2017 in
Patients are no longer satisfied sitting on the sidelines when it comes to their personal healthcare.  Patients are engaging in their own healthcare decisions on a deeper level and they need to be informed.  Translating evidence-based knowledge from scientific research papers to the general public through research summaries is one way we can help inform patients on a global basis.

We are currently exploring various projects that do just that:  helping patients and their carers make informed decisions based on research evidence through the use of social media.  This also leads to our interest in disseminating clinical trial information to both healthcare professionals as well as patients and survivors.  If you would like to learn more, please email Lorne.Cooper@sympatico.ca
